Overview

Hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centers across Nellore District are looking for compassionate and skilled Nurses to provide quality medical care and emotional support to patients. Nurses play a vital role in patient recovery, hospital operations, and maintaining the highest standards of healthcare in the district.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care
    • Monitor, record, and report patients’ health status and vital signs.
    • Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as prescribed by doctors.
    • Assist in dressing wounds, changing bandages, and providing post-surgery care.
    • Support doctors during medical procedures and examinations.
    • Maintain hygiene, comfort, and safety of patients at all times.
  • Clinical Assistance
    • Prepare medical equipment and examination rooms.
    • Collect samples for laboratory tests and ensure accurate labeling.
    • Maintain sterile conditions during treatments and handle instruments properly.
    • Ensure proper storage and inventory of medical supplies and medicines.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Update patient records, case sheets, and nursing notes accurately.
    • Communicate any change in patient condition to the doctor immediately.
    • Help manage ward schedules and shift duties efficiently.
  • Emergency & Critical Care
    • Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide first aid or CPR when required.
    • Assist in operating rooms, ICUs, and emergency wards depending on assignment.
    • Handle trauma or accident cases calmly and professionally.
  • Patient & Family Support
    • Educate patients and families about post-treatment care, diet, and medication.
    • Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their relatives.
    • Promote awareness about hygiene and disease prevention.

Qualifications Required

  • Educational:
    • Minimum: General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Diploma or B.Sc. Nursing.
    • Preferred: Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing or M.Sc. Nursing for specialized departments.
    • Must be registered with the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council.
  • Experience:
    • Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
    • Experience in hospital or clinical settings preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and hospital protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Telugu.
  • Empathy, patience, and commitment to patient welfare.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
  • Basic computer literacy for maintaining patient data.
  • Readiness for shift-based duties, including nights and weekends.

Work Environment

  • Roles available in government hospitals, private hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centers throughout Nellore District.
  • Nurses may work in various departments such as General Ward, ICU, Emergency, Pediatrics, Maternity, or Operation Theatre.
  • The work involves long hours, standing for extended periods, and direct patient interaction.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range: ₹15,000 – ₹35,000 per month depending on qualification and experience.
