The district has begun efforts to increase EV vehicle charging stations. In line with the central government’s directive to set up a charging station every 20 km on national highways, officials have initiated actions. Under the PM-Drive scheme, private charging stations set up will get an 80% subsidy. Officials say that 25 locations have already been identified for the establishment of public and private charging stations.
