Machine Operator

Overview

Manufacturing units, industrial plants, food processing units, textile mills, packaging companies, and other production facilities across Nellore District are looking for skilled and reliable Machine Operators. The role is essential for running machinery safely, maintaining production flow, and ensuring quality output.


Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation
    • Operate machinery and equipment as per safety and production guidelines.
    • Start, stop, and monitor machine performance during operations.
    • Adjust machine settings to maintain speed, efficiency, and quality.
    • Perform basic troubleshooting when issues occur.
  • Production Monitoring
    • Check raw materials and ensure proper feeding into machines.
    • Inspect finished products for quality standards (size, weight, shape, etc.).
    • Record production output and report deviations or defects.
    • Maintain continuous workflow to meet daily production targets.
  • Maintenance & Safety
    • Conduct routine cleaning and minor maintenance of machines.
    • Report major mechanical issues to technicians or supervisors promptly.
    • Follow all workplace safety guidelines, including PPE usage.
    • Ensure machine areas are clean, organized, and hazard-free.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain logs of machine performance, downtime, and maintenance.
    • Assist in preparing daily or shift-wise production reports.
    • Track and report material usage to supervisors.
  • Team Coordination
    • Work closely with quality control teams, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
    • Support co-workers during high workloads or machine changeovers.
    • Participate in training programs on new machinery or safety procedures.

Qualifications Required

  • Educational:
    • Minimum: 10th Pass / ITI Certificate (Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Machinist, etc.)
    • Preferred: Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • 1–3 years of experience in operating industrial or manufacturing machinery preferred.
    • Freshers with technical knowledge or ITI/Diploma background can also apply.

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic mechanical and technical skills.
  • Ability to understand machine manuals and safety instructions.
  • Physically fit for standing, lifting, and manual work.
  • Good observation skills to detect defects or machine abnormalities.
  • Teamwork, discipline, and willingness to work in shifts.
  • Communication skills in Telugu (English is a plus).

Work Environment

  • Opportunities available in manufacturing factories, rice mills, food processing units, packaging industries, metal workshops, textile units, and many more across Nellore District.
  • Shift-based work (morning/evening/night) is common.
  • Work involves operating machinery, standing for long hours, and handling materials.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range: ₹12,000 – ₹25,000 per month depending on skill and industry.
  • Overtime pay, shift allowances, and incentives may be provided.
