Overview
Industries across Nellore District—including manufacturing units, food processing plants, textile industries, packaging units, rice mills, metal works, and industrial zones near Krishnapatnam—require experienced Production Supervisors to manage daily operations, lead teams, and ensure smooth production flow.
This role is crucial for maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety across the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Plan and supervise daily production activities to meet output targets.
- Assign tasks to machine operators, helpers, and shift workers.
- Monitor workflow and adjust schedules when required.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
Quality Control
- Enforce quality standards throughout the production cycle.
- Inspect finished goods and identify defects or process deviations.
- Coordinate with the QC team to maintain product quality.
- Implement corrective actions when quality issues arise.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and guide production staff.
- Conduct shift briefings and communicate daily goals.
- Train new employees on processes, safety, and equipment usage.
- Resolve worker concerns and maintain discipline within the team.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all staff follow safety protocols, PPE rules, and factory guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain safe working conditions on the production floor.
- Report and address safety hazards immediately.
- Maintain compliance with statutory norms and company policies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production records, daily shift reports, and machine logs.
- Track production metrics such as output, downtime, and rejection rates.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for machine breakdowns.
- Ensure proper documentation of material usage and inventory.
Qualifications Required
Education
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Production Engineering (preferred)
- ITI with strong experience in manufacturing may also be considered.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production role.
- Prior supervisory experience is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team-handling capabilities.
- Good understanding of production processes and machinery.
- Basic knowledge of quality control and safety procedures.
- Problem-solving skills to handle shift issues quickly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Communication skills in Telugu, with basic English for reporting.
Work Environment
- Work primarily on the production floor in factories and industrial units.
- Shift-based timing, including rotation (day/night).
- Requires supervision of multiple workers and machines at a time.
- Fast-paced environment with responsibility for output quality and quantity.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary range: ₹18,000 – ₹40,000 per month (depending on industry and experience).
