The temple was established in 1968 through the initiative of Sri Sri Sri Arul Jyoti Natarajamurthy Swami, guided by inspiration and blessings from spiritual leaders including Sri Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Mahaswami of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.
The main consecration (Maha Kumbhabhishekam) of the temple and idol installation was conducted on March 6, 1975, by revered heads from Kanchi Kamakoti and Sringeri Peethams, along with Vedic scholars and devotees.
The temple was constructed with substantial support from Swargiya Ratnaswami Modiliar and donations from devotees, making it a community effort.
